Family Dentistry

All comprehensive dentistry begins with scheduled routine care. A preventative dental routine is always the best way to protect your natural teeth and a radiant smile. Regular dental exams and cleanings will detect early signs of gum disease, cavities, cancer and irregularities in jaw alignment and function. During these preventative exams, most oral health risks can be successful and fully treated. To keep you family’s smiles clean, healthy and beautiful, Stampien Dental offers a range of services to complement your regular checkups.

Restorative Dentistry

The aim of restorative dentistry is to restore function and good health to your teeth, gums and jaw. With dental implants, crowns, bridges, dentures, and fillings we can bring back a healthy, beautiful smile! No problem is too big or too small—missing teeth, tooth decay, chipped or cracked teeth, misaligned teeth can usually be restored safely, quickly, and with minimal discomfort. And you can be confident that we will always take the time to discuss the best options for you.

Composite Resin Fillings (White Fillings)

These fillings can replace metal (amalgam) fillings, as necessary, to give your smile a more natural and healthy appearance. Larger metal filling can make tooth appear grey and dark. Simply replacing older dark fillings with tooth-colored fillings can be a first step to a radiant smile.

As technology has evolved, tooth-colored fillings have become as durable as metal fillings, and they feel more like your natural teeth, giving you increased confidence and comfort.

Crowns

Crowns can restore teeth that are broken, oddly shaped, discolored or have large fillings. A crown reinforces and protects the structure of a tooth that cannot be repaired with regular fillings and restores a tooth to its original shape and size.

Among the many types of crowns, porcelain crowns are the most popular. Porcelain can be shaped and tinted to match your natural teeth. Porcelain crowns are highly durable and can give you a natural, beautiful smile for a long time.

Bridges

The most popular dental bridge is the porcelain, “traditional fixed bridge,” which most closely resembles your natural teeth. The bridge, which is the shape of the missing tooth or teeth, is attached between two anchoring teeth and then fixed in place to fill the gap.

Implants

Dental implants are the most durable way of replacing missing teeth for people with strong bone density. Implants can successfully replace a single tooth or all of your natural teeth and mimic the look and feel of natural teeth.

TMJ Syndrome Support and Protection

Many of us take our stress out on our teeth and jaw during nighttime teeth grinding (bruxism). Chronic grinding of the teeth will lead to premature wearing of your teeth and can lead to TMJ disorders, which can cause facial pain, headaches and impaired function in the joint and muscles of the jaw. Dr. Stampien and Dr. Matrone will guide you to the best treatments to alleviate the discomfort of TMJ syndrome, and if necessary stabilization splint, or bite guard, can be custom-made for your mouth to lessen the pressure and alleviate symptoms.

Teeth Whitening

Get ready for life’s important occasions—weddings, job interviews, or reunions. With whiter teeth you will feel great about your appearance and your smile. A beautiful bright smile always gives you confidence. With our EZ White™ Pro In Office Teeth Whitening System, you’ll have whiter and more brilliant teeth in just minutes. EZ White™ Pro works differently than other professional whitening treatments. It uses an innovative, light-activated technology that takes as little as 30 minutes to brighten your smile up to 8 shades whiter, with little or no sensitivity. Results are instant and there’s no need for follow up visits.

Bonding

Bonding uses composite resin to close spaces between teeth, to fix chipped teeth, to alter the color of teeth, to adjust the size or shape of teeth, and to give you a more naturally perfect smile. Bonding can be completed during one office visit and is used as an alternative to veneers. However, the bonding process is not as strong as porcelain or tooth enamel and therefore may be a less permanent solution to restoring your beautiful smile.

Veneers

Veneers are custom-made facings that cover the front of your natural teeth and are used to fix the appearance of teeth that are worn down, discolored, chipped or poorly aligned. Veneers are ultra-thin (about 0.2 mm) and look very much like natural teeth. The procedure for veneers is essentially pain-free and will permanently reshape and whiten your teeth. Though ultra-thin, veneers are high durable, resistant to wear and can last for more than 20 years.

Minimal Prep and “No-Prep” Veneers

Minimal or “no-prep” ceramic veneers provide an alternative to bonding and traditional dental veneers for patients seeking to enhance their smile in a minimally invasive way. Minimal or no-prep veneers can be bonded to the front surface of the teeth and can easily change the size, shape and color of the tooth, without requiring a large reduction in tooth structure. However, not all cases are candidates for no-prep or minimal prep veneers.

Implants

For patients who suffer from tooth loss, dental implants provide an excellent alternative to bridges and dentures. Implants are designed to fuse with bone, providing a foundation for replacement teeth. Unlike dentures, implants become permanent, allowing for increased comfort, improved oral health and enhanced self-esteem. Stampien Dental works with local surgeons for dental implant procedures.
